Action research

Report: ARC – Action Research by, in and for Communities (a practical guide to Community-led Action Research) published by the Scottish Community Development Centre.
This guide was developed by the Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC) to help community and voluntary groups carry out research in and with their communities. The guide is based on our experience of developing and delivering 3 Community-led Action Research programmes between 2003 and 2011. These programmes culminated in over 90 groups carrying out research that helped them to achieve positive change in their communities.

Report: Knowledge is Power- equalising power relationships through community-led action research
Community-led action research is not research for the sake of it, to prove a theory or to satisfy the curious. It is about people asking their own questions about the issues they experience, getting the information, and evidence they need, and testing actions for change.
