Co-production & involvement audit for organisations (online)

The Co-production and Involvement Audit is a simple self-assessment tool which helps organisations assess how effective they are at successfully adopting co-productive ways of working. It consists of fifteen action statements, organised in accordance with the ‘five core principles of co-production’ each of which is given a score.

It provides a high-level snapshot of how you are doing, alongside an understanding of what is working, and what needs to be done to keep improving. The Co-production and Involvement Audit’s uses include supporting report writing and formal evaluations, external audits and internal periodic reviews.

This is the online version of the tool. For a downloadable/printable pdf, click here.

How to use this tool:

  • Select the number matching your progress on each statement (5 principles, 3 statements per principle).
  • Reflect on what would help you to improve your practice. The comments fields are required too, it’s an important part of the self-reflective process!
  • Click the button to get a downloadable chart with your scores and reflections.

If you have difficulties reading this on screen, email us for a paper copy to be posted to you, or so we can look for a way to meet your needs.

  1. This was a really useful and reflective tool helping me to identify key areas that may need to be developed further.

  2. Hi, The tool looks great but it’s really difficult to use online at the moment as over a third of the screen is obscured by a large accessibility symbol. Could the accessibility symbol be made a bit smaller please so that the tool is more accessible! Thanks,
